Ryusui Nanami is a bisexual character from Dr. Stone.
Biography[]
Ryusui Nanami specializes in sea navigation and sailing. He was revived in the year 5740 by Senku Ishigami and has since remained an important character in the series. He is one of the Five Wise Generals of the Kingdom of Science, and a member of the Crafting and Development team. He was the son of the owner of the Nanami Conglomerate.
Appearance[]
Ryusui is considered an attractive young man as he is of fairly tall height and muscular build with long blonde hair that falls at about his shoulders. He has thick dark eyebrows that are pointed at both ends of both of them. He's known for an over-eager look with a confident smile and intense glare in his eyes.
When revived, Yuzuriha Ogawa creates a red trench coat and captain's hat for him to wear, reminiscent of that of a pirate. There is a marking that takes up most of his right hand, made most obvious when he is snapping.
Personality[]
More than just a pampered rich boy, Ryusui appears to be a greedy and slightly ignorant character with a heart of gold. In the world before the events of Dr. Stone, Ryusui was a bit of a playboy, with details in the story hinting at his lavish lifestyle in the company of women and luxurious materialistic objects. He is rather flirtatious, constantly preaching his mindset of all people being beautiful in their own ways. Ryusui also tends to use the word "desire" quite often, especially in the context of people he loves, proving ultimately how his actions are often motivated by his own greed.
Sexuality[]
In a Q&A segment at the end of Dr. Stone chapter 90, Ryusui is seen for the first time speaking about his attraction to both men and women, saying that "Every woman is a unique creature with her own charms. (The same goes for men!!)" when asked how many people has he dated in his life (next to his responses to other questions saying things such as "I like [all women], including [the reader]." and claiming there isn't any type of woman he is not into).
Due to the nature of Ryusui's character being rather shallow and self-centered in a lighthearted sense, there isn't much depth to his dating life, although it is definitely hinted at that he has dated both men and women prior to the events of Dr. Stone. He has a tendency to use the word "desire" when referring to things and whom he loves is no exception to this.
Despite Ryusui's arrogance leading to his relationships with those of all genders that he loves lacking much emotional depth in canon, he has a kind heart and never prioritizes one relationship over another as they are all obviously important to him.

Tsukasa Shishio[]
In chapter 142 he says to Minami (right after "confessing" to her) “I love all women, you see, so naturally that includes you. Men too!! I desire them all!! Including Tsukasa!!”
Minami Hokutozai[]
In Chapter 142, Minami Hokutozai warns Ryusui to stop getting close with Tsukasa Shishio, as him and Ryusui are polar opposites and a bond between the two boys would never work out. Ryusui then shrugs off Minami's comments and proceeds to tell her "you may hate me with a passion...but I love you!!"
