Sexuality
Nick is bisexual. He had a crush on a girl named Tara Jones throughout Year 7 and 8, and the two kissed during the Year 8 Higgs-Truham Disco. Though Tara discovered she was a lesbian and began dating Darcy Olsson. Nick discovers his sexuality when he begins to have feelings for Charlie. After kissing him, he's initially fearful, but Charlie comforts him and explains that he's possibly bisexual. Nick, liking the term, does his research and concludes that is his sexuality. In the show, in episode 1x8 he comes out to his mom saying, “I still like girls but I like boys too. He laters tell Charlie he is bisexual.
In the comics, it is shown he had a crush on a Year 8 boy while he was in Year 7 but didn’t realize it was a crush. He comes out and grows comfortable in himself.
