Nathaniel is a fairly short boy with turquoise eyes, and face length messy ginger hair. He has long bangs that are brushed to the left side of his face.

Sexuality[]
Nathaniel is bisexual since he was in love with Marinette (and Ladybug), his feelings have changed a little and those are turned towards Marc Anciel.
Thomas Astruc stated that Marc and Nathaniel are not an officially in a relationship, saying "We're just trying to see what seems natural for the characters to do or not." and "when we have characters who get together and others who don´t get together, it's not done by chance, it's just logical"[1].

Marinette was Nathaniel's former crush as it was revealed in the episode evillustrator. But his feelings for Marinette had faded in the show since it shifted to Marc, whom he is currently in a relationship with.
Marc Anciel[]

After many episodes it's unkown if they are officially a couple since they seem to be close and physically affectionate. Marc and Nathaniel met on account of marinette after a misunderstanding they become friends.
They are seen multiple times in the background of various episodes together.
In the episode "Hack-San" (S4E16), when Marc was commanded by Robostus to hand over his most precious possession with mind control, Nathaniel gets offered and ends up in a digital prison. In the English subbed version, Marc claims that the manga he was working on with Nathaniel was actually his most precious item. In both versions, Nathaniel along the manga he was holding end up in the digital prison.
In the episode "Representation" (S5E24), they are discovered talking in a intimate manner and holding hands when Marinette accidentally runs into them while she was crying and heading to a secluded area away from their other friends at the Eiffel Tower party.
