Leo Moretti is an asexual character from The Blood Crow Stories.
Biography[]
Leo is a farmer living and working on SS Utopia, a highly advanced ship designed to be self-sustainable and meant as a means for its passengers to stay safe from wars. He is in charge of a farm and many animals, which are meant to be the source of food for the ship's passengers and crew. He befriends Fiona Bedevere, a painter who comes to his farm to paint its walls in an attempt to create a friendlier atmosphere for the animals who have to spend all their lives inside the ship. He is eventually killed by Malseph, an ancient evil creature who haunts the ship and kills its passengers.

Personality[]
Leo is a kind and gentle man. He takes good care of his animals and even though he knows they will be eventually killed for meat, he wants them to have good lives and be happy. He is also always very kind in his judgment of other people, even those who are commonly thought to be bad.
Sexuality[]
Leo is asexual. When his relationship with Fiona reaches a level where he feels she expects to have sex with him, Leo explains that he's never been interested in sex and even though he loves her he can't be physical with her. Max concludes that Leo is asexual, but lacks the language to properly describe his sexuality, as the term doesn't exist in his times.

Relationships[]
Fiona[]
Leo meets Fiona when she agrees to paint the walls of his farm in order to make it friendlier for the animals. They immediately hit it off and Fiona spends more and more time below decks with Leo, who appreciates her and her art, unlike her husband who constantly criticizes her and puts down her passion for painting. When it seems that they are going to have sex, Leo explains that he's never been interested in it and that even though he loves Fiona dearly he won't sleep with her. Fiona feels relieved by this, as despite her love for Leo and her husband's difficult character she's unwilling to cheat on the man she married. Eventually, both of them are killed by Malseph.
