Appearance[]
Kieran Valentine has dark brown-black and red striped hair that falls onto his pale pink-skinned face. His seducing eyes are a shade of rosy pink and he wears primarily formal, old fashioned attire in dark colors. His blazer is lined with red and embroidered with shimmering rose petal and a gold-stemmed rose on the lapel of his jacket to compliment his tones of red through his hair. He has thick, clean eyebrows and pearly white teeth, and a pair of long, sharp fangs, respectively.

Sexuality[]
It has been confirmed by Monster High creator Garrett Sander that Valentine was originally supposed to come out by his diary. He was ashamed of being gay so he tried to go after a version of fake love. Although he never came out in the diary explicitly, it is still canonical that Kieran was vaguely admitting that he wanted to "live as his true self"[1].
The original creator also confirmed on Instagram that they tried to give hints to Kieran being gay in the movie. However, they were repeatedly told that it wasn't the time, resorting to just implying it in Kieran's Diary.

Spelldon Cauldronello[]
It is extremely clear from reading Keiran’s diary that he, at minimum, developed a small crush on Spelldon.
“While attempting to hide in the shadows, I bumped into a student I didn't recognize. He said his name was Spelldon Cauldronello. He had only been at MH a couple of weeks as he had been traveling with his older sister. Meeting him totally made me space out and forget to send a text that was supposed to help Clawd. He asked if I went to MH, and I said I was just visiting, but I would love to go to MH if I can. He said he'd keep me up on the groanings on around school if I wanted, so I gave him my number. At least the trip wasn't a total stake.”
By saying that “meeting him totally made me space out,” it is heavily implied that Keiran found Spelldon to be handsome or attractive. This can be further confirmed by Keiran giving him his number in what was most likely a casual first-time-meeting conversation. At the end of the excerpt, he says “…so I gave him my number. At least the trip wasn't a total stake,” implying that talking to Spelldon and giving him his phone number was the only part of his visit to Monster High which he enjoyed.
Draculaura[]

He dated Draculaura 400 years before the actual time setting in the series. Over the span of one week, he charmed her by writing romantic poetry and claimed to have made a holiday, Valentine's Day, just for her on her birthday February 14th, though named the holiday after himself. The evening that he planned to harvest the love energy from her heart, she and her family suddenly had to flee the country "due to a misunderstanding with the locals."
He resumed breaking hearts and adding them to his "collection" though "it never felt quite right". Kieran felt that if he one day obtained Draculaura's heart, he would feel complete and stealing love would finally feel right.
When he and Draculaura finally reunited thanks to Toralei's own mischievous plans, he easily began to fill Draculaura's heart with love. However, Draculaura revealed that though she appreciated all the gifts, flowers, and attention, their love wasn't real, and she was truly in love with her boyfriend Clawd. Desperate and frustrated, Valentine openly disappointedly resorted to using his hypnotism ability to make her fall deeply in love with him. His spell was broken however when Draculaura was reminded through the help of her friends that the love that she and Clawd had was real, and "everything about Val was as fake as a vampire's tan [Frankie]".
After falling into the Bog of Enteral Body Odor and Kieran had time to reflect on his actions, he admits in his diary that he wished to become friends with Draculaura and make amends for what he had done.
A year after the events of "Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love", Valentine shows up at a Monster High dance, offering Draculaura a large bouquet of black and red roses and explains that was an "all new Valentine" and had return to make amends by secretly "fixing" students of Monster High's love problems, though unintentionally made their problems worse. Draculaura and her friends forgive him, realizing that Valentine's actions had been done with genuine sincerity in his first steps to become a better person.
