Kanji Tatsumi is a bisexual character from Persona 4.
Biography[]
Kanji is a known young delinquent in his hometown, Inaba. He's known because of he's toughness while fighting biker gangs, an generally his intimidating appearance. In reality, his delinquent behavior is just to hide his true hobbies that people around him consider as "feminine" (crocheting, cooking, sewing, knitting, etc.)
Kanji's shadow reveals his feelings towards "femininity" and "masculinity" while on his dungeon, arguing that he is tired to hide who he really is. Even though he remains with his intimidating appereance during the rest of the game, he do stablish his identity to one he's more comfortable with.
Appearance[]
Despite his young age, compared to the other members of the investigation team, he seems taller and generally more mature. He normally wears informal clothes such as sleeveless shirts, piercings, jewelry, etc. He's clothing for school consists in the Yasogami High uniform with a skull sweater.
It is never stated if his hair is naturally blonde, but during the epilogue of Persona 4 Golden, it is implied that he used to bleach his hair.
Personality[]
Kanji is the most rude member of the investigation team, he normally acts before thinking. He is also the character with most swearing lines on the game. Besides his rude and compulsive personality, he also shows to have a kind heart, specially towards his mother and friends.
Sexuality[]
When the investigation team tried to investigate on Kanji, thinking he might been the next victim of the mysterious murders on Inaba. They discover Naoto Shirogane invited Kanji to hangout with the excuse of asking some questions to him. Kanji interprets this as Naoto being romantically interested in him, which Kanji doesn't seem to be bothered about.
During that until Naoto's dungeon, Kanji shows romantical interest in Naoto, he evens get nervous when thinking or talking to them.
When the investigation team discovers Naoto's true gender is female, even though Kanji is surprised at first, he remains liking Naoto. which implies Kanji is interested in both males and females.
