Tim was initially depicted as straight, similarly to his New Earth counterpart. However, he started to discover his sexuality when he went out a date with a boy named Bernard. While he has dated both men and women, he's still trying to figure out what he specifically identifies with. Meghan Fitzmartin stated that "Tim is still figuring himself out. I don’t think he has the language for it all... yet.."[1] He was then later confirmed to be bisexual[2].
