Dio Brando (ディオ・ブランドー) is a bisexual character from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Biography
Dio was abused by his father, Dario, as a kid, and so he poisoned his father and his father died. So then the Joestar family, adopts Dio. In the Joestar mansion, Dio was very cruel to his adoptive brother, Jonathan and he even burned Jonathan's dog alive. He then becomes a vampire due to a stone mask, and Jonathan has to fight Dio. In one of the fights, Dio is defeated and only his head remains. However, since he is a vampire, he is able to survive. He then is brought to the ship where Jonathan and his wife Erina are travelling to New York for their honeymoon, and Jonathan and Dio fight once more, and Dio ends up taking Jonathan's body and escapes via a coffin. His coffin is then found 100 years later and he is put up against Jotaro, who ultimately defeats him.
Appearance
Dio dons an amber jacket with a tight, black sleeveless halterneck bodysuit, as well as chaps with an exposed crotch. His face is now in full-view, and on his head is a heart-shaped circlet to match his knee guards. This is his form during the beginning of the DIO's World story arc. In most depictions of him, DIO's outfit is tinted orange or yellow.
He also wears a necklace covering his neck scar and heart motifs above his feet and on his pant legs, but he quickly stopped sporting them after his first stairway confrontation with Polnareff.
Personality
Dio is consistently manipulative and violently domineering, and has repeatedly shown a lack of conscience, empathy and most of his recognizable characteristics are his boundless ambition and his love of power.
Due to the abuse of his father Dario, being underpriviledged and having lived in the most miserable living conditions, Dio enjoys being in a position of power and has repeatedly stated how great he felt being in a dominating position, so munch so that Dio never tolerated that someone could stand up to him or equal him in power, and was enraged and deeply disturbed at the thought several times.
Sexuality
Dio is canonically bisexual in both the anime and manga.[1] In the 2007 Eureka interview with Araki (the author of the franchise), when asked about Dio's sexuality, Araki responded: "...Dio's sort of a composed character that could go either way. He could go with a man or a woman."[2] Dio's sexuality is incidental to his villainy.

Relationships
Erina Pandleton
Dio learns of Jonathan's and Erina's romance and decides to ruin Jonathan's chance for love by forcefully taking Erina's first kiss. A humiliated Erina responds by washing her lips from water in a muddy puddle causing a furious Dio to then strike her for such a gesture.
Giorno's Mother
Sometime before the events of Stardust Crusaders, a Japanese woman with the last name Shiobana got involved with Dio.
It is unknown why Dio hadn't killed her, however the woman would go onto give birth to Giorno Giovanna, the main character of Jojo's Bizarre Adventures' fifth part Vento Aureo.
