Craig Tucker is a gay character from South Park.

Biography []

Craig Tucker is a character in South Park. He's a 10-year-old student at South Park Elementary School and known for his monotone voice and tendency to flip people off. Craig is a Roman Catholic but doesn't usually display his religious beliefs. Despite his past negative behavior, Craig has matured in recent episodes. His relationship with Tweek may have contributed to this change. Craig has also taken on various roles in the show's storylines, including as a superhero and even starts up his own show.

Appearance[]

Craig's attire includes a blue jacket and a blue chullo hat with a yellow puffball on top. In the episode "How to Eat with Your Butt", he also sported yellow mittens. During the earlier seasons of South Park, Craig wore blue jeans, but in more recent seasons, he has been seen in high-waisted black pants. He has a similar appearance to background Character 'Brimmy'. When Craig becomes Super Craig, he adopts a simple costume consisting of a piece of paper taped to his jacket with a bold red 'S ' written on it.

Personality[]

Craig seems to be the most stoic, cynical, apathetic, and deadpan kid in South Park, having a more abrasive personality than the rest of the characters, a trait exaggerated by his deeper-than-average voice. He has been described as pragmatic, monotone, and sarcastic. He also appears to be more logical and mature than some of his peers, typically being the one to call them out on their ignorance.

He generally prefers to be left alone, harboring very few but simple interests. In the making of South Park: The Fractured But Whole, it was written on a whiteboard that he only cares about his guinea pig, and his boyfriend, Tweek. Craig possesses strong leadership abilities and is the head of a social gang that opposes Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny's group, The gang typically includes Clyde, Tolkien, and occasionally Tweek, Jimmy, or Jason.

While Craig and Clyde appear to share or alternate the leadership position, Craig is considered the primary leader due to his designation in the group's name.

This rivalry between the two groups is first seen in "South Park is Gay!" when the main characters view Craig's gang as their adversaries.

In later episodes, Craig's negative traits become less prominent, and he tends to maintain a passive and stoic demeanor towards the events unfolding around him. This trait is demonstrated early on in "Red Hot Catholic Love" when he enters the bathroom and discovers his classmates waiting for Cartman to defecate through his mouth. Craig merely responds with a nonchalant "Oh" before leaving the room.

Sexuality[]

Before Craig got together with Tweek, there were a few hints that he might be gay. In the episode "South Park is Gay!," Craig proclaimed that he was "gayer" than everyone else in his class, which caused some speculation about his sexuality. Additionally, in the episode "Le Petit Tourette," Craig expressed a strong interest in befriending a boy with Tourette's syndrome who had the ability to insult people without getting into trouble. Craig's interest in this boy and desire to hang out with him raised some eyebrows and suggested that he might be attracted to him. These suspensions were confirmed in "Tweek X Craig".

Relationships []

Tweek Tweak[]

Initially, Craig and Tweek had a difficult relationship and would constantly fight with each other. However, in the episode "Craig VS. Tweek", they became friends. Eventually, the yaoi art girls began drawing fan art of them together, and to make them stop, Craig and Tweek pretended to date. However, Craig ended up breaking things off. Later, Tweek went to Craig's house, and they walked down the street, holding hands. After initially pretending to be a couple for the sake of appeasing the town, Craig and Tweek's relationship evolved into something more sincere after the events of "Tweek x Craig". In "Put It Down", Craig uses terms of endearment towards Tweek even when no one else is present, indicating that their relationship has become genuine. In many episodes, they are depicted holding hands or being in close proximity to one another, and Craig refers to Tweek commonly as " Babe" or "Honey".
