Biography[]
Bianca first appears in the first episode of Sunflowers and Lavender. She works at the Lavender Tea Cafe and is best friends with Alizee. Bianca is first seen bumping into Penny in the supermarket and causing the latter to fall for her. She also falls for Penny at that moment. Bianca is of Puerto Rican descent. She plays the bass in her school band.
Appearance[]
Bianca has brown eyes, long straight brown hair dyed pink, and brown skin that freckles easily. She wears a purple shirt with a blue sweater and blue jeans with cuffs.
Personality[]
Bianca is shy, and has anxiety. This is shown when she orders from the Sunflower Bakery. She asks Gabe, who works there, for tea, and he asks if she’s checking out the competition (she works at the opposing Lavender Tea Cafe). She immediately tries to convince him she’s not, and he and Alizee reassure her he was only teasing.
Sexuality[]
Bianca is bisexual[1]. She even wears the colors of the bisexual flag. This is something every character in Sunflowers and Lavender does. Their names also sound like their orientation or gender (e.g. Penny is pan, with pink hair, a yellow shirt, and a blue skirt). In this case Bianca is Bisexual. Her nickname is also “Bi.”
Reaction[]
The fans didn’t have any particular reaction to her bisexuality, other than being glad for the representation (Sunflowers and Lavender is known for its representation, with every character being LGBTQ+, as well as having characters with disabilities (anxiety, prosthetics, in a wheelchair), characters of all ethnicities, and characters with conditions like vitiligo) which is to be expected as Sunflowers and Lavender is promoted as a queer comic.

Penny[]
In the first episode, Bianca bumps into Penny and causes the latter to fall for her. Penny embarrasses herself by actually saying this out loud and then claiming she was saying this to a display of canned beans. Bianca still falls for her afterwards. They see each other again through the cafe window and Penny panics and runs away, but Alize’s dog, who’s being walked by Liza, follows. Penny also leaves her backpack at the cafe. Bianca accidentally spills coffee on Penny’s backpack and discovers a drawing of her and Penny inside. They find each other again due to this. They get to know each other, and Bianca invites Penny to her concert at the cafe. The latest episode has Penny attending the concert.
